1987 G1 Coupe Part Out Low Miles Performance Upgrades

Parting Out - AcuraLegend.Org - The Acura Legend Forum for All Generations of the Honda / Acura Legend; 1986 to Present - forums.acuralegend.org
I am the original owner of an 87 Coupe that was beautiful when it was dropped off at the local Acura dealership in Van Nuys, CA for minor service but shortly there after I get a call from the dealership telling me they have bad news and that my car was rear ended! Hard to fathom that one could ever imagine getting a call from the dealers service department telling you that your car was involved in an accident while the technician was out for a test drive. Well that is exactly what happened to me.

Let this be a warning to others to be aware if it does happen, the dealership, at least in California, may tell you that their insurance will not cover the damage. Which is exactly what they said to me and since my car does not blue book for more than $5000 their policy does not cover it and I would have to go after the driver that was responsible.

Well this happened 11 years ago and I ended up keeping the car as I had put so much into it and could not bare to see it scraped. I have parted some of the parts out to help keep other cars going so at least there are other people benefiting from the parts.
