Holdfast Moneymaker leather camera strap
South Bend, Indiana, USA (United States)
Hi there! I couldn't decide between the chestnut and tan Holdfast Moneymaker camera straps from photos. I bought them both. Decided I liked the chestnut better. Would anyone be interested in the tan?
In case you're unfamiliar, it's a very nice leather camera harness intended for carrying two cameras at the same time, but also usable with 1, or 1 with a lens pouch or other item hanging from the other side. It takes the weight off of your neck and doesn't slide around like a sling-style strap, and the leather just looks so much better than the typical ballistic nylon. It uses an unusual clasp for the camera, a snap shackle typically used on sailboats (I'd love to see SBL use these instead of dog leash clips).
It's a medium tan bridle leather -- suitable for individuals between 5'8" and 6'2" (173 - 188 cm). (if you have particularly narrow shoulders at the low range or particularly broad/muscular shoulders & back at the upper range, it probably won't work for you.)
The leather's more supple than I expected, but still stiff enough that it would probably benefit from some treatment or breaking in.
It's $230 from Holdfast - I'm dropping the price a touch because otherwise why buy from me instead of the site, and because I'm not including shipping (probably $12 with a USPS flat rate box).
Including a couple stock photos from their website because they show it better than the snaps I took with my phone.
