What's the different between 1987 porsche 911 and 1987 porsche 930?
The 911 was the 3.2L Carrera, which had a 3.2L normally asperated flat six (made 217hp in the US version). It used the G50 5 speed transmission, and was offered as a coupe, targa, or cabriolet. additionally, there was a turbo look option (more on that in a moment).
The 930 was the same basic unibody, but came fitted with larger torsion bars, larger anti-roll bars, the amazing 930 brakes, different tie rods, and of course, it was powered by a 3.3L turbo charged flat six with an intercooler (making 300hp). Further, the car used the 930 4 speed transmission, had wider fender flares both front and back (and came fitted with wider wheels as a result).
The base 911 could be bought with the turbo-look option, which included all of the same features as the turbo, except for the engine and tierods.
